Simply Sarasota, has become an award winning cookbook. Although we all know how awesome our book is, people around the world are going to know, too. So far Simply Sarasota has won the following awards:

National Best Books 2007 Awards- Finalist in the Cookbooks: Regional

We received notification of our DIY win in October and were surprised and excited to see that we were the only Junior League winner. This is the sixth year DIY has given book awards in 15 categories. Submitted works were judged by a panel of industry experts using the following criteria:
1) General excellence and the author's passion for telling a good story.
2) The unique use of guerilla marketing tactics to reach a wider audience. This includes innovative marketing, merchandising, publicity tactics and other innovative methods of reaching an independent audience.
On November 1st we received the good news from USA Book News of our win. This is their fourth annual competition with award given in more than 140 categories. Thousands of books were submitted as entries and we're escatic to have been chosen as a winner from so many entries.
We have submitted for other awards and hope our list of awards that we've won will grow. Stay tuned!
